Qualified User Requirements
What if I don't meet the qualification requirements?

All school psychologists and other clinicians who wish to use our
web application
programs must complete an application and become a
Qualified User.
You may designate another person as the Ordering Agent, or individual
who will make or approve purchases.
(These
requirements do not apply to students, families, or individuals who are
only filling out the Rapid Screener surveys and are not involved in interpreting the information)
There are three ways to
qualify as a Qualified User. Users must meet the requirements in
one of
following areas (I, II, or III)
- Non-student membership in any of
the following organizations:
- American Psychological
Association (APA)
- National Association of School
Psychologists (NASP)
- California Association of School
Psychologists (CASP)
- Association for Behavioral and
Cognitive Therapies (formerly AABT)
- Association for Behavior
Analysis (ABA)
- California Association for
Behavior Analysis (CAL-ABA)
OR -
Relevant License and Experience
- License or certification from an
agency that requires appropriate training and experience in the
ethical and competent use of psychological or behavioral
measures.
- Documented experience in conducting functional assessments and developing positive behavior
intervention plans.
OR
- Educational Requirements
- A degree from an accredited
4-year college or university in Psychology, Counseling,
Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or a closely related field.
- Completion of coursework in
Psychometrics and Measurement Theory, Educational Statistics,
Test Interpretation, or a closely related area.
- Minimum 2 years experience
conducting ethical and competent functional assessments and
developing positive behavior intervention plans.
Examples of professionals who qualify
to become C-BATT Qualified Users include:
- School Psychologists
- Clinical Psychologists
- Educational Psychologists
- Licensed Speech Pathologists with
documented training in Functional Assessment or Behavior Analysis
AND development of positive behavior intervention plans
- Special Education Teachers with
documented training in Functional Assessment or Behavior Analysis
AND development of positive behavior intervention plans
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers
with documented training in Functional Assessment or Behavior
Analysis
